Leonard Cohen’s masterful, enduring and poignant song Hallelujah has also been recorded by John Cale, Jeff Buckley, Bono, Rufus Wainwright, Kathryn Williams, K.D. Lang, Willie Nelson, Aled Jones, Michael McDonald, Katherine Jenkins and a multitude of other artists.

This classic song was recorded by this year's X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, and is the 2008 Christmas number one, with the Jeff Buckley version making it to number two! Having defeated JLS in the X Factor finals, Alexandra won a million-pound recording contract and the immediate release of this version of Leonard Cohen's classic.
