Tejano – which means “Texan” in Spanish because this genre first gained notice there in the 1950s – is a wholly original American musical idiom that blends traditional polka-flavored rancheras and lilting, reggae-paced cumbias with pop, R&B and hip-hop. This collection contains P/V/G arrangements of 25 evergreens by A.B. Quintanilla y Los Kumbia Kings, Selena and La Mafia.
