After the publication of our new edition of the "main version" of the "Stücke im Volkston" for Cello, Piano in 1991, we have lavished the same attention of the violin version one year later. Here is the text-critical edition of the violin arrangement which Schumann himself prepared with meticulous care, based on the first edition and the autograph, and containing detailed information on its inception and reception.
